Angela Rice brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for advocating for families with special needs children to her role as the newest board member of Pettaway Pursuits. As a devoted wife and mother of three sons, Angela understands the unique challenges and triumphs that come with parenting.
Angela's career path was set in motion 32 years ago when she embarked on her journey with The School of Philadelphia. Over the course of her professional life, she has accumulated 23 years of invaluable Human Resources experience and 9 years of Project Management in Student Health Services. Her diverse skill set and expertise have equipped her to navigate complex organizational dynamics and drive positive change.
Beyond her professional achievements, Angela is an active member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated, where she actively contributes to the betterment of her community. Her commitment to serving others extends to her church and local community, where she lends her support to various initiatives.
Angela's personal journey as a mother has deeply influenced her advocacy work. Having experienced an advanced maternal age pregnancy and birthing her third son at the age of 45, she understands the unique needs and challenges faced by women in similar circumstances. She is dedicated to raising awareness and providing education on advanced maternal age pregnancies, empowering women to make informed choices and navigate their journeys with confidence.
Additionally, Angela is committed to championing educational opportunities for black and brown children. Recognizing the importance of access to quality education, she strives to recruit the best educators who are passionate about shaping the future of these young minds.
Throughout her life's endeavors, Angela finds inspiration and strength in the words of Psalm 91, which guide her actions and reinforce her commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of others.
